Happy Wednesday readers! Ashley and I are sharing with you a look inside our Bibles.
- This lovely pink New Living Translation Bible was given to me by The Big Dawg this past Christmas. I also have a beautiful white and gold KJV Bible my dad gave me when I was a little girl. He wrote "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet" Psalm 119:105 on the front page and I'll always cherish that verse. In a way that one verse has paved the way for my faith walk.
- Yes, there is absolutely a monogram on the cover of my Bible, because... well because it NEEDED it friends.
- I use colored pencils to highlight verses, but lately I've fallen in love with writing them down into my journal. I just feel like they stick better that way. I have my journal with me whenever I have my Bible because I love to scribble down verses that really touch me or that I just know a friend needs to hear. I'll forget it if I don't write it down, #momlife y'all, mom life. In the future, I see this journal as something my children will cherish to see what verses/quotes/Christian authors were working on my heart during certain times in my life.
- Since becoming a Christian, my mother brought me my dad's Bible and both of my grandparents' Bibles. Looking through to see what verses they loved showed me a little piece of them. I think the best thing you can take from this post is to remember we are leaving a legacy of believing in God, a righteous, glorious God who has turned our lives upside down and right side up all for His glory. When we document those moments, when we create these memories we are leaving something behind our children will cherish forever.
What do you cherish about your Bible?
