Foodie Friday: Mama's Southern Style Baked Beans

Today for Foodie Friday I'd like to share with y'all a fun twist on baked beans (or maybe you've been doing them this way all along and I'm the new one, who knows?!). We went to a family BBQ a couple weekends ago and after eating these I just had to share them with you. 

What you'll need:

Two 16 oz. cans whatever variety baked beans you enjoy (we used hickory smoked) 
One can Navy beans
One can Black beans 
One medium chopped onion 
One medium chopped green pepper 
Six slices peppered bacon (we get ours from Kroger and it is fantastic) 
1 lb. sweet Italian sausage (you can switch this up with hot sausage too) 
3/4 cup brown sugar 
1/2 cup of syrup (depending on how much you are cooking and how sweet you like them) 
2 TBSP Dijon mustard
2 squirts lemon juice
1/4 cup Hickory BBQ sauce  

What to do with it all: 

Cook your meats to a crisp (bacon and sausage, most Southerners like to lay the bacon on top of the beans, I personally find that gross so mix the cooked bacon into the beans)
 Spray the mess out of your pan with PAM. 
Mix everything together. 
Cook on 350 for an hour stirring occasionally
