I have lots of pictures to upload from our trip and tons of fun stories to share. Until I get it all scheduled and ready to go how about some fun reads from this past month?!
I devoured books this past month. Little Monkey and I spent a lot of time outside playing with the hose and buckets of water to beat this Georgia heat. While he played, I read books!
As I've said before, I'm slowly making my way through Diary of a Wimpy Kid, it's such a sweet series!
The Girl on the Train was a fun ride. It was a quick thriller with odd, insane characters. Basically they ALL make bad choices and the reader is left deciding who to hate more. Great book for those of you who enjoy a good "who dun it".
Full Bloom I picked up at a local used bookstore, a good beach read. I've read the entire Stephanie Plum series and this one is the same Janet Evanovich fun paced humor just with Southern ties.
I've gotten onto the Sarah Dessen bandwagon lately. I have lots of books to catch up on from her and Saint Anything is her latest. Great characters, loved the emotion and story line of this book. I find myself relating so much to her female leads, probably explains why she is so popular right?!
The Lunar Chronicles, ok y'all. Be honest with me. How many of you out there have already read this series?! If you have, SHAME ON YOU for not telling me about it sooner! I have seen the covers of these books for months now and always shrugged them off. A cyborg Cinderella? Not my thing, no thanks. Oh friends, I was so so so wrong. These books are the most well written young adult series I have read in a long time. Each character has their own story line, there's romance, drama, humor, and it's clean fun which always makes me happy!
Legend: The Graphic Novel was a quick read, it's exactly like the book, so if you enjoyed that series check out the graphic novel from your local library!
I finally finished The Beginner's Goodbye. I listened to this on audio book. Kirby Heyborne was the narrator (you LDS readers will recognize that name!). I think if it weren't for his great acting on the tape I wouldn't have enjoyed this book as much as I did. I gave it 3 stars on Goodreads, it was just not that interesting although I did love the main character, Aaron.
As always with my book recommendations, read the reviews on Goodreads to decide for yourselves. There are too many great books out there to waste time on, so find the ones you love and enjoy!
What did you read this month?
