Foodie Friday: Corn Chowder

This month for Foodie Friday I'll be sharing with y'all all my favorite soups! Winter time is finally here in the South. The temperatures have been in the teens!! Ouch!
Hopefully these soups will keep you warm and full of comfort!
Corn Chowder recipe
First up, my mom's Corn Chowder. Not much else to say, besides it is DELICIOUS. Scrape the bowl clean and ask for seconds delicious!

You'll need:

1 stick butter
1 bunch of green onions
14 oz. of chicken broth
2 10 oz. cans of potato soup
2 11 oz. cans of jolly green giant white and yellow corn (no need to drain)
1 "Roll" Frozen Creamed Corn (white creamed corn if you can find it!)
8 oz. cream cheese
1 pint of half and half
3 teaspoons creole seasoning (more or less to taste)

What to do with it all:

Melt butter in soup pot and saute' green onions. Add broth and soups over medium heat and stir until smooth. Add corn and heat until warm. Add half and half and chunks of cream cheese. Heat until cream cheese melts (can use immersion blender to blend in cream cheese) and add seasoning.
For thicker chowder, lightly puree the 2 cans of corn in the blender!
