2015 Family Theme and Goals

2015 Family Theme

"Let's be Builders!"

Last night, The Big Dawg and I reflected on 2014 and discussed what we would like our family theme and goals to be this coming year. We agreed that we wanted to build up our family, our community, and our ward family by being more positive and serving others. So we said, "let's be builders!"

I found a talk that applies perfectly to our theme
Building Your Eternal Home
Thomas S. Monson

And our scripture:
“Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God.” (D&C 88:119)

Spiritual Goals
I have a new calling as the 2nd Counselor in the Primary (yay!), my main goal this year is giving love to the sweet children in our ward. Helping them learn more about their Savior, Jesus Christ and in His Gospel will be fulfilling in 2015!
The Big Dawg and I are doing much better with regular prayer and scripture study before everybody goes to bed each night. While I cuddle Little Monkey, he reads to us and then we have family prayer. We are forming lifelong habits!
I want to continue reading the conference issues of the Ensign dating back to the year I was baptized in 2003.

Marriage and Family Goals
Plan a weekend getaway once a month.
Attend the temple as often as possible.
Try out new recipes and cook together.
More walking and biking, which always leads to good conversations.
I would like to do/start one of my L.I.F.E. goals and hope to add more as I feel inspired.
Less nagging
More positive self talk

Blog Goals
I love commenting on blogs, reading blogs is one of my favorite parts about blogging! Sometimes life gets in the way and this makes it really hard, so my goal is to find a new blog to enjoy each month.
Grow, grow, grow!
Reach out to more bloggers dealing with chronic illness, infertility, ADHD, or other ways I can help.
Stay creative and original!

What are some of your goals for 2015?!
