Weekend Recap

Did y'all have a nice weekend?
Friday we didn't do much. We spent most of the morning in the bed with Little Monkey. Nobody was sick, I just really needed some down time. After a week of running around like a chicken with my head cut off I have to take a day to let my body recover. If I don't it could lead to a flare up and when that happens I become disabled. Yes, me. Unable to walk, crying, pain all over my body. Then I have to take hard core meds and it just goes on and on. Thank you rheumatoid arthritis, you are the best...
SO I take a day to restart. After laying in bed, I popped some ibuprofen and we went for a run/walk around our 2 mile block. In the afternoon while the baby slept we road 6 miles around our local park. The weather was beautiful and perfect for outdoor time.
When we got home I cooked dinner for the fam and The Big Dawg ran out for an ice cream run. The request was for 2 mint chocolate chips (dad), a tiny pecan praline Ben and Jerry's (mom), and strawberry cheesecake for me.
You can see what he brought back, the requested, this and some Rocky Road.
Our freezer is packed.
Saturday we slept in and in the afternoon went to the Deep Roots Festival. There were vendors, a Kidzone (which we stayed clear of, not ready yet for that area in my life), and our friend's daughters danced on the main stage.
We took a nice drive after the festival and I got this shot of our local lake.
Beautiful ending to a beautiful weekend.
