Photo Share Friday

I've been catching up on past issues of the Ensign magazine. It only takes an hour to read an issue and I really need to make it apart of my Sunday activities. Usually I just grab one on the way out the door for easy reading.
My favorite are the Latter-Day Saint voices, there's always one story that makes me misty.
This was a quote from one of the articles that I loved.
Since working the evening shift, I've been walking my two hilly miles in the morning and another 30 min walk in the evenings on campus. It was really beautiful this past week.
I took these photos while on my walk.
The sun caught this photo just right. No filter needed! I feel so patriotic and full of country pride when I see our new banners flapping in the wind.
I've seen our students check out these series over and over again. When my co-worker became really excited with the newest release, I asked her what they were about and if it was something I'd like.
On a scale of 1 to Harry Potter she gave this series at 8.5!
Since working at the library one out of many of my tasks is to scan GMC yearbooks. It's actually really neat. We have a legacy here. Since I've started, I've scanned over 15 books ranging from the 1940s to now. The pictures of era style clothes, totally politically incorrect quotes, and sporting events are so cool. Since I'm an alum of the school I have an extra sense of pride when I see what the school's past was like, so much history to cherish.

I always loved looking at my parents old yearbooks. It's amazing how much things have changed in just a few decades!

I love that quote in the first photo. I've heard various versions of it and all of them help move me forward in life.
