Since I posted on Friday about my baptism anniversary, I decided to schedule a special post for Instagram pictures!
1 day till we are at the beach! Woop woop!
I love this shampoo for summer, it helps my hair stay healthy while keeping my blonde color light and shiny! I am a natural blonde, yes for real, and this gives me an extra boost of confidence in the mornings!
R gave me this cute necklace from Etsy with an R&W, there is a little white bead too. I like to imagine it representing our future chunky monkey! I love that he looks at my Pinterest secret gift board, such a good husband!
I came up with the idea to steal some of the cute signage from Pinterest and display them throughout the fiction books for the kids. They come back the week I am on vacation, but I hope they see these and smile!
Those are my walking shoes and Kind bars under my desk. Lovely shot of my trash can...
I've created a Library Ideas board on Pinterest if y'all want to check it out!
I miss this big girl! We house sat for a full month with this sweet dog. She made herself right at home in the guest bed!
I got into my car one day to find this bright red umbrella in my passenger seat. I didn't think much about it until Wednesday when a storm blew in. I popped it open and noticed the GMC logo and knew my dad was the one who put it in my car.
He's a pretty cool guy and an awesome dad to think that far ahead!
I started packing early for the beach!! I am so excited! Look at my cute monogram hat and bag, I am so excited! I realize that summer is basically over, but since we haven't had much summer fun until now, we are living it UP this week at the beach! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!
I'll get to see my beautiful grandmother!!!!!
And lay in the sand!!!
And listen to the ocean waves!!!
Look out over our balcony!!!
Take pictures of sunsets and beachy things!!!
Eat delicious seafood!!
I started reading Khaled Hosseini's newest book. He hasn't published one in 6 years! For those of you unfamiliar with him, he wrote Kite Runner and Thousand Splendid Suns. Two very moving, powerful books. I will warn readers that if you have read his books in the past, don't make the mistake of comparing this book to his others.
There are several different narrators in this book, so there is an adjustment. I'm around a 100 pages in and it's starting to all connect and come together. One thing I enjoy about every Hosseini book is his ability to show the reader the Afghanistan world before the Taliban took over. In this particular book there is a huge ripple effect based the single action of one man.
