Warm Bodies

A friend from work recommended I read, Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion. I rarely plug fiction on my blog, even though I read a lot of it. I just feel like really moving books deserve a blog post, but this one had me laughing and giddy so I decided to talk about it anyway.
I have to read the book before seeing the movie, I am really strict about this rule and most of the time if I happen to see a movie before reading the book, then I skip the book all together. Just can't handle the overlapping story and missing pieces!

I'm also not a Zombie lover. This is the first book I've read that involves Zombies. I avoided Twilight for years because of the vampires and Harry Potter because of the wizards. I was missing out on two really great series. (Don't get me started, NO I do not think Harry and Twilight are on the same level, Potter is by far a more superior read, just giving examples here).
Back to Warm Bodies, this was a fun read and the movie brought the characters to life. I saw it with my friend and we had Mexican food afterwards, a girl's night out with Zombie Rom Com Love!
I do recommend it, read it first then see the movie and as always for my cleaner readers: this book gets a PG13 rating for gross scenes (zombies eat brains) and expletive language.

I started the book and couldn't get into it. I might have to pick it back up again, and check it out. Everyone has been talking about this movie.

My son saw the movie with his girlfriend. He didn't want to go, but ended up really liking the movie. I'll take your word for it and read the book first. :)

The book is great, very entertaining. I wasn't expecting to laugh as much as I did. The movie was cute but the book was still better (as is always the case). Who is this fun friend/co-worker you mention? She seems delightful!
