100 Books Read in 2012!

I've had an account on for several years now, but 2012 was the first year I did their Reading Challenge. At the beginning of the year I challenged myself to 50 books, I met it, so upped it to 65, met that, so upped it again to 85...

Once I met that goal, I decided to challenge myself to 100 books. Now I have to add here that some of the books I read were graphic novels. We have a collection in our library and I like to stay current on those to be able to recommend them to students. So obviously those were quicker to read than others!
First set of 20.
Favorite books: Snow Angel by Glenn Beck was a tear jerker for me. I also loved ADHD Effect on Marriage and hope to read it again as a team building exercise with R.
2nd set of 20.
Out of these my favorites were: To the Rescue: The Biography of Thomas S. Monson (President of the LDS church), Through My Eyes, Tim Tebow's biography (I have a huge silly goofed out crush on him), Bloom and Two Kisses for Maddy were both inspiring and yes, cried in those as well.
3rd set of 20.
Pioneer Woman (cute, funny love story hoping the movie rumors are true), When Bad Things Happen to Good People (so good I bought a personal copy), Divergent is a GREAT YA read, Heaven is Here was another inspiring novel, made me appreciate my body more.
4th set of 20.
I started a YA and graphic novel kick in this 20. It was time for me to get with every other woman in America and reading Janet Evanovich's Stephenie Plum novels. I also saw Joshilyn Jackson at a library conference and loved her so much that I began her novels. Gods in Alabama is a goodie!
 5th set of 20. 100 total!
A Grown up Kind of Pretty was probably one of my favorites from Joshilyn Jackson, I still have to read Backseat Saints, so I will see which is the best! Oogy was for my animal book lover fix. I started the Chemical Garden series, another YA . Gone Girl was CRAZY, bat crazy, monkey crazy, but an amazing ride!
So proud of myself for reading 100 books in 2012. Going to try for that goal and a little more this coming year. I enjoy a little bit or everything, so recommend a book to me anytime!

I'm impressed. My favorite job in college was working at a bookstore. I think only a library could be better.

We're pretty much book "soulmates". I love Joshliyn Jackson, "Gods in Alabama" was such a wonderful read. My favorite by her is "A Grown up Kind of Pretty". Her books are heavy subject matter but so worth the read.

I loved Gone Girl. I don't usually read mystery/thriller book, but I enjoyed every second.

I have the biggest crush on Tim Tebow, and his book was very moving. I loved reading from his view.

Happy Reading!
