Callaway Holiday

One of my family's favorite day trips is to Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. Since R and I have been married we have been 3 times. That is once per year of marriage! My mom went there when she was my age and later when she was married to my dad. I remember biking the 10 mile paths with my parents and now I bike them with my husband. It is a beautiful, peaceful place. Here are pictures from our most recent visit.
 Inside the vegetable gardens.
The weather was so beautiful, we packed jackets and gloves, but didn't need any of it. We love this 70's weather in Georgia!
 Turtles lounging in the sun.
My Captain America.
We were near the end of our trip, snacking on cuties!
A favorite spot for many visitors to Callaway Gardens is their Butterfly Garden. This little beauty hung out with R for a while.
The Horticulture center was festive for the holidays!
This guy made me smile, wanted to take him home with me!
LOVED these pink poinsettias, look for them on an upcoming Wonderful Wednesday post!
A sweet lady took this picture of us, the only couple picture of the whole trip. She was very sweet and patient while I taught her how to use our camera.
I wanted these in our yard!
After biking the park, we drove through their Fantasy in Lights. These lights were SO beautiful, the music played throughout the woods, and the themes were based on the nature we saw biking through Callaway. There were flowers, birds, butterflies, and more to remind of us of our memories there.
We went to the Lake Lanier Magical Nights of Lights and although we really LOVED their lights and Christmas village, my heart will always have a soft spot for the lights at Callaway.
We had a wonderful Christmas season and hope y'all did too!
Looking forward to the NEW Year, 2013!
