Lake Lanier Magical Nights of Lights

Last Saturday night we were driving through 7 miles of Christmas lights at the world's largest animated light extravaganza (yes in the WORLD) for the 20th Anniversary of Magical Nights of Lights at Lake Lanier in Buford, GA!

We went to the Holiday Village to ooo and aah at the gift shop, watch the kids roast marshmallows, and scream on Santa's lap. We ate funnel cake and a homemade soft pretzel (that's making my mouth water just remembering it).

We took pictures by our favorite lights, here's me by this changing color tree. The bridge also changed colors, it was beautiful.
There were cars everywhere!

We celebrated the reason for the season, Christ's birth. They had a huge Nativity scene and after December 1st they will host a live Nativity throughout the month.
There were Christmas trees everywhere, including a UGA BULLDAWGS Tree, which we had to have a picture by of course. And in true Southern taste, a Coca-Cola tree with walls full of ornaments!
We saw fairy tale characters come to life like Jack and the Beanstalk, The Wizard of Oz, and The Twelve Days of Christmas.
We drove through twice, the first time I took pictures, the second time we cranked up the Christmas songs and drove through in the warmth of my dad's truck. My mom came along for the ride, always up for adventures with R&W. It got us all into the Christmas spirit!
And yes, that is R with his fanny in the air being the "A". He just HAD to do it.
